Meet Alyssa, Pediatric Sleep Consultant & Founder of Harbor Light

Hi, I’m Alyssa, the founder of Harbor Light Pediatric Sleep Consulting. I help families with babies, toddlers, and young children find calmer, more restful nights through personalized sleep support. Based in Maryland and serving families virtually, I offer a warm, practical, and collaborative approach to sleep that helps parents feel confident every step of the way.

My Story

My work in pediatric sleep began with a deep passion for supporting families during one of the most exhausting and emotional seasons of parenthood. Over the past seven years, I have supported hundreds of families through Baby Sleep Made Simple, helping parents navigate night wakings, nap struggles, early morning wake-ups, bedtime battles, and sleep transitions with confidence and compassion.

As a mom, educator, and sleep consultant, I understand that sleep is never just about a schedule. It is about your child’s temperament, your family’s routines, your parenting style, and the support you need to feel steady and reassured. Harbor Light was created to offer families a calm, personalized path forward when sleep feels overwhelming.

Experience You Can Trust

Before launching Harbor Light Pediatric Sleep Consulting, I spent seven years supporting families through Baby Sleep Made Simple, where I helped guide more than 500 families through baby and toddler sleep challenges. I also trained and supported a team of sleep consultants, giving me a deep understanding of the many different ways families approach sleep.

I am certified through the Institute of Pediatric Sleep & Parenting and continue to grow my knowledge in newborn sleep, toddler sleep, special needs sleep, and family-centered sleep support. My background in education also shapes the way I work with families — I believe parents deserve clear explanations, realistic strategies, and encouragement that helps them understand the “why” behind the plan.

My Approach to Sleep Support

At Harbor Light, sleep support is never one-size-fits-all. I take time to understand your child, your family, your goals, and what feels realistic for you. Together, we create a step-by-step sleep plan that supports healthy sleep habits while honoring your parenting style.

My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. I believe families need more than a generic schedule — they need a partner who can help them understand what is happening, make thoughtful adjustments, and feel supported through the process.

My sleep support is:

  • Personalized to your child and family

  • Gentle, supportive, and realistic

  • Rooted in consistency and healthy sleep habits

  • Designed to help parents feel confident

  • Flexible for babies, toddlers, and young children

  • Available virtually and locally in Maryland
